Membership in the SMA connects you with professionals who  understand  the needs of physicians and clinicians. Since 1906 SMA’s contribution to physicians and the medical community are well known. When you join SMA, you become part of a close knit community of individuals whose first priority is the health of their patients in addition to a professional team of staff members qualified and dedicated to serving you in your commitment to quality health care.

• Advocacy – Focuses on issues facing physicians and how they can become “the voice” for themselves and their patients
• Leadership and Professional Identity – Develops programs and services to enhance and build physician leaders
• Quality – Develops SMA’s clinical and non-clinical programs based on recommendations of the “grassroots” members and the other committees
• Membership – Identify goals and direction for growing and retaining membership.
