Executive Director

Randy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business degree with concentration in Project Management. He is also a Microsoft Certified Professional. Randy has been with the association since 2002, working primarily in the areas of information systems, and educational activity production. In his spare time he plays ice hockey. Randy is married and enjoys the activities of his four children.


Kendra Blackmon

Leadership Liaison/CME Program Manager

Kendra has been with the Association since 1979. Her experience spans accounting, association management, member communications, marketing, meeting planning, project management and CME program development. In her spare time, Kendra loves gardening, reading, and enjoying time with her granddaughter and family.


Jennifer S. Price, MA

Managing Editor, Southern Medical Journal/CME Program Manager

Jennifer holds a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Alabama. Prior to joining SMA in 2010, she worked for the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. Jennifer is married and has one son, and she enjoys spending time with her family, watching Alabama football, and volunteering for the Alabama Chapter of Make-A-Wish.

Earl Scott

Earl D. Scott


Earl is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. He joins SMA with 15 years experience in the financial industry as a corporate controller and more than 10  years as an independent business consultant/bookkeeper for local startup businesses as well as established ones. Outside of the office, Earl enjoys spending time with his family, camping, hiking, bicycling, volunteer work, and taking weekend get-a-ways.


Vonette Scott

Member Services Representative/CME Program Coordinator

Vonette has worked for the Southern Medical Association in the membership and member communication area for more than 30 years. Currently, her responsibilities include statistical and demographic reporting, system analysis and data maintenance, and developing topics and coordinating content for the Pulse, SMA’s monthly e-Newsletter. In her spare time, Vonette enjoys horseback riding, camping and volunteering with children’s ministries.


Vicki Johnson

Member Services Representative/CME Program Coordinator

Vicki has been an employee with Southern Medical Association since 1979, working in customer service for member services and purchasing. She helps with event management and works as a marketing projects coordinator. She loves to go to flea markets and thrift stores. She also keeps busy with her 3 children and 5 grandchildren.


Mandy Stone

Accreditation Specialist

Mandy has been with SMA for over 30 years. She is responsible for the development and coordination of continuing medical education activities in the form of ACCME accredited conferences and on-line media for physicians of all specialties, as well as non-physician healthcare professionals (administrators, nurses, PAs, etc.). She has extensive training in multimedia/online education, web conferencing, and learning management systems. In her spare time, Mandy enjoys amateur photography, and spending time with family.


Vicki Baugh

CME Program Manager

Vicki has extensive experience in planning, coordinating, developing, design and management of SMA’s Southern Region Burn Conference. She has worked with burn professionals and burn centers in 14 States + Puerto Rico, including 33 Burn centers in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia.

Dylan Stephenson

Dylan Stephenson

Digital Media Specialist

Dylan holds a Bachelors degree in Communication and Information Sciences from the University of Alabama. He works with ESPN and Fox Sports on the side when he has a chance. Dylan has a big passion for photography and filming and also is a videographer for concerts in Tuscaloosa, filming acts like John Legend and Chris Stapleton. In his spare time he loves to run and play tennis.

Lee Boughton

Lee Boughton, MA

Communications Manager

Lee holds a Master of Arts in English from Belmont University. Prior to joining SMA in 2017, she worked for the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. Lee is married and has two active toddler boys. In her limited free time, Lee enjoys reading and photography – utilizing those hobbies to maintain an Instagram account dedicated to all things literary.


Bob Cantlay

Communications Assistant

Bob holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Business Administration & Computer Science, as well as a Masters of Management. Outside of work, his wife and two kids are the center of activity; but occasionally he gets away long enough to play Ultimate (Frisbee Football). He also has a new found interest in kayaking.
