During the week of October 10-12, Kim and I attended the Louisiana Primary Care Association’s 34th Annual Continuing Education Conference at L’Auberge Casino & Resort in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
The meeting was well attended by physicians, primary care providers, social workers, and exhibitors alike. Their staff was topnotch, professional, and friendly. The conference speakers were informative as well as inspiring.
Established in 1982 as a nonprofit organization, the Louisiana Primary Care Association, Inc. (LPCA) promotes accessible, affordable, quality primary healthcare services for the uninsured and medically under-served populations in Louisiana. It is a membership organization of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and supporters committed to the goal of achieving health care access for all.
LPCA represents 34 federally funded Community Health Center organizations across Louisiana. These organizations operate more than 240 individual sites and serve nearly 385,000 patients annually. LPCA serves as the leading statewide advocacy organization in support of community-based health centers and works to stress the importance of health care access as the foundation to building healthier communities.
Thank you, Geralda, for allowing SMA to accredit your program. We hope this is just the beginning of a wonderful relationship, as it is our desire to continue working with and supporting the LPCA for many years to come.
See ya next year!
