SMA’s inaugural virtual competition will include medical students, residents, and fellows from all over the country competing for a chance to present their projects at the Association’s annual conference. This is a preliminary competition. The top 10 oral presentations and the top 10 poster presentations from this virtual event will advance and present in person at SMA’s Annual Scientific Assembly October 25-28, 2023 at the Grandover Resort & Spa in Greensboro, NC, for the opportunity to win cash prizes:

Oral Presentation Prizes 

• 1st Place*: $5000
• 2nd Place: $3000
• 3rd Place: $1000
• *1st place winner’s program also receives a $1000 sponsorship.

Poster Presentation Prizes 

• 1st Place: $1000
• 2nd Place: $800
• 3rd Place: $600
