ABIM - Maintenance of Certification

The Assembly will feature presentations focusing on Physician Burnout, Physician Leadership, as well as clinical topics including Cardiopulmonary Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Orthopedics. There will be abstract sessions, a special Forum featuring Deans from the medical schools in South Carolina, as well as a networking roundtable luncheon, and SMA Alliance sessions and events.

After this time, SMA will have incurred all related costs regarding your planned registration, therefore, no refunds will be granted. What is a Live Webcast?

A webcast is streaming audio and video of a conference, which you may watch live from your home or office computer.

Can multiple people from my company watch the webcast?

Yes; however, only the registered attendee will receive CME/CE credit.

Will I be able to ask questions through a chat session while watching the webcast?

At this time, you will not have the ability to ask questions during the live broadcast.

How long do I have access to the lectures following the course?

The broadcast will be available on-demand approximately 7 working days after the event.

NOTE:  In order to claim CME credit, you must watch the LIVE event.  Credit will NOT be awarded for watching the sessions “on-demand” after the conclusion of the conference.

Can I watch from my iPhone, iPad, or smart devices?

For best viewing results, the preferred format for viewing the webcast is on a PC or laptop computer.  You may view on smart devices (ie, Kindle, iPad, iPhone, etc); however, the graphics may not be as clear.

Will I need to install software in advance?

No.

Will I need access to both the internet and a telephone?

All of our sessions are delivered via your personal computer or laptop’s speakers with access to the Internet.  Dial-in is not available.

How will I claim my CME credit?

After watching the sessions LIVE, you will be emailed a link to evaluate the sessions, and to claim CME credit.  You must attest that you watched the event “live” in order to claim the credit.

May I view the webcast on my Mac?

Yes.

What is the minimal transfer rate for the Internet Connection (streaming rate)?

You will need a high speed connection, 5mbps minimum
