Cancellation Policy:  All conferences are subject to cancellation. SMA will not refund travel costs if the meeting is cancelled. Refunds are not given for inclement weather. Registration fee refund requests must be submitted in writing to the SMA. A refund of your registration fee, minus a $50 administration processing fee, will be granted if notice is received by October 21, 2019. After this time, SMA will have incurred all related costs regarding your planned registration, therefore, no refunds will be granted. We urge you to register and book early because rooms often sell out prior to the cutoff date.

Southern Medical Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Southern Medical Association designates this live activity for a maximum of 13 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in this activity.


ABIM MOC: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 13 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

To receive CME credit and/or ABIM Medical Knowledge MOC points, you MUST attend the activity, pass the post-test with minimum grade of 80%, and complete the attendance attestation/evaluation form (links will be emailed post-conference). For ABIM MOC points, your information will be shared with the ABIM through the ACCME Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS). Please allow 6-8 weeks for your MOC points to appear on your ABIM records.

Hotel Cancellation:
Hotel requires a 72-hour cancellation notice prior to arrival.

Early Departure Fee:
In the event that a guest who has reserved a room checks out prior to the guest’s reserved checkout date, an early departure fee of $50 will be charged to the guest’s account. Guests wishing to avoid this fee MUST advise the hotel at or before check-in.
