William S. Rea, MD, Vice-Chair of Psychiatry at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, discusses the epidemiologic spread of new drugs of abuse, ways to rapidly identify and refer drug abusers, and pharmacologic tools they can use. The lecture focuses on new drugs of abuse and their hazards, new methods to screen and refer patients to treatment, and new medication interventions to deter relapse.
