Your Identity Has Been Stolen…Now What?
According to the Federal Trade Commission, Identity theft is when someone uses your personal or financial information without your permission. They might steal your name and address, credit card, or bank account numbers, Social Security number, or medical insurance account numbers. In this episode of the Business of Medicine Podcast, we are joined by Gregg Brooks, Principal of Worldwide Benefit Services, LLC. In this episode we will be discussing ID theft Assist. IDTheft Assist is a monthly subscription that gives you and your immediate family access to the quickest identity theft response services. IDTheft Assist has advocates who do all the work for you, so you can get back to your daily routine.
Gregg celebrated his 40th year in the insurance industry in 2020, half of that time spent working with his own company, Worldwide Benefit Services (WBS). Gregg founded WBS in 1999 as an effort to create a company that specializes in creating, designing, marketing, and wholesaling non-insurance service products. WBS created IDTheft Assist, a comprehensive restoration service for identity theft victims that is now part of the largest identity theft program in the country servicing over 20 million subscribers.
A proud graduate of the University of Kentucky, Gregg worked for a number of other well-known insurance organizations before branching out to develop and run his own. Gregg served in a number of various roles in order to learn about the insurance business working as an agent, manager, and a Senior Vice President before becoming the Founder and Principal of his own company. Previous companies he has worked with include the Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Co., Provident Life and Accident, and the National insurance Agency.
