An Evaluation of Some Roentgenographic Signs in Sickle Cell Anemia and Its Variants

Abstract

Attention has always been given to certain radiologic changes in the calvarium as characteristic of sickle cell disease. The author points out that this is not a common diagnostic Finding but rather that x-ray study of the mandible and its alveolar processes may be much more rewarding in a search for radiographic abnormalities.
