Abstract

The authors from a detailed review of their clinical material describe and discuss the complications which follow treatment of cervical cancer whether by external or internal irradiation, or by surgical treatment, or a combination of both. They point to the pathophysiology involved in the tumor's growth,—the effect of invasion upon adjacent structures and aspects of its vascular supply. These are important factors when joined with the treatment employed in the etiology of complications of treatment.
