Drug Studies in Prisoner Volunteers

Abstract

The ethics of human experimentation is a topic which receives much attention. The rules which hedge such activities are well spelled out by government and foundations which support research. Medical schools have committees to monitor research which involves humans. The use of prisoners in this way has been quite controversial for reasons as indicated in this paper. However, the author along with others sides with the viewpoint that it is nor harmful if rules are followed adequately.
