Early Treatment of Meningitis

Abstract

Mortality and morbidity rates are high in inadequately treated purulent meningitis. Therefore it seems best to use a number of antimicrobial agents in treatment immediately, awaiting the results of cultures and sensitivity tests before embarking upon more specific therapy.
