Effectiveness of a Large Community Coronary Care Unit

Authors: GEORGE S. GRIER III M.D., JASON E. McCLELLAN M.D.

Abstract

Though coronary care units, such as described by the authors, are becoming more and more commonplace in community hospitals, the description of one at this time may be of interest to those involved in the development of such units. This pattern is quite uniform as is the equipment to be placed in the unit. The results of the use of a unit also are quite typical and to be anticipated.
