Interactions of Lidocaine with General Anesthetics

Abstract

This experimental study confirmed the belief that lidocaine has a direct depressive effect as well as an indirect stimulating effect upon the cardiovascular system. The addition of depressants to the central nervous system modifies the stimulating effect of lidocaine.
