On the Etiology of Lupus Erythematosus

Abstract

The immunologic factors in the pathogenesis of systemic lupus erythematosus are taking precedence over all other possible etiologic causes currently and with good reason. The familial aberrations in this area may well be critical in the ultimate understanding of host-antibody reactions. The author brings the reader up to date in the newer developments of a condition recognized more and more as a disease entity.
