Abstract

Abstract: Based on study of an adult variant of the classic maladie des tics, we suggest that tics are true involuntary movements derived from maladaptive defensive conditioned reflexes associated with stress-induced central adrenergic dominance which can be reversibly altered by administration of haloperidol.
