Summit Faculty Spotlight: Monty Robertson, MHA

The Southern Medical Association (SMA) is proud to feature Monty Robertson, MHA, as a speaker for the Hypertension Summit 2025 taking place November 6-8, 2025, in North Charleston, SC.
Monty Robertson, MHA, is the Executive Director of the Alliance for a Healthier South Carolina, where he leads a coalition of more than 60 public and private organizations working collaboratively to improve the health of South Carolinians. A recognized thought leader in public health, Monty is known for his strategic vision and ability to unite cross-sector leaders to drive meaningful, statewide change. With over a decade of experience, he has guided initiatives such as the South Carolina Birth Outcomes Initiative, the Collective Impact in Action project, and the development of South Carolina’s State Health Improvement Plan.
Beyond his work with the Alliance, Monty also serves on the boards of the SC Interagency Council on Homelessness and Family Connection of South Carolina. He is a 2022 Furman Riley Institute Fellow and holds a Master of Health Administration from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Furman University.
