Terri Jowers, CCHW, serves as the Executive Director of the South Carolina Community Health Worker Association. A native of rural South Carolina, her advocacy experience with survivors of partner violence, sexual abuse, and neglect reinforced her belief in local and policy-level interventions. As a founding member of the South Carolina Community Health Worker Association (SCCHWA), Terri passionately champions CHWs and the communities they serve.

 

SCCHWA continues to build and support a professional Community Health Worker workforce through Core Competency and Recertification training requirements, opportunities for advancement through Tiered Certification and Standards for CHW programs.
