An SMA educational partner, The Carolinas Center for Medical Excellence is currently accepting nominations for the 2023 T. Reginald Harris, MD, Memorial Award and for the 2023 Timothy S. Llewelyn, MD, Memorial Award. 

“The Harris and Llewelyn Awards have a rich history of honoring outstanding and dedicated physicians in the Carolinas who exemplify excellence and the highest standards in the practice of medicine and in patient care,” said Steven B. Martin, MHA, FACHE, CPHQ, President and Chief Executive Officer of CCME.

The Harris Award (Awarded to a Physician in North Carolina)

Recognizing Dr. Harris for his service to the North Carolina medical community and many other professional, civic, and community activities, this award is given to any physician residing and practicing in North Carolina who exemplifies excellence in medicine and delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.

The Llewelyn Award (Awarded to a Physician in South Carolina)

Honoring Dr. Llewelyn for his outstanding patient care, and compassion, this award recognizes any physician residing and practicing in South Carolina who exemplifies excellence in medicine and delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
