Aseptic Meningitis Associated with ECHO Virus, Type 9: An Outbreak in Norfolk, Virginia

Abstract

This is an interesting report of an outbreak of aseptic meningitis involving some 86 patients and proved to be due to ECHO virus, type 9. Rash was a variable feature of the illness; the virus was readily recovered from the spinal fluid.
