Blind Gastric and Duodenal Mucosal Biopsies in Patients with Duodenal Ulcer and Those with an Ulcer-Like Syndrome

Abstract

From histologic studies upon the antral mucosa as obtained by biopsy, and a correlation with symptomatology, the author proposes that antral gastritis may precede for some time a positive x-ray diagnosis of duodenal ulcer.
