Criminal Responsibility and the Psychiatrist

Authors: GENE L. USDIN M.D.

Abstract

The author finds that significant changes have occurred in judicial opinions regarding criminal responsibility, but believes there is no ideal solution to the problem of this responsibility. He indicates that rigid viewpoints of psychiatrists may have slowed the evolution of more just laws for the evaluation of sanity as it is related to criminal responsibility.
