Left Hilar Mass in a 62–Year–Old Man: Severe Pulmonary Valvular Stenosis With a Poststenotic Aneurysm
Abstract
ABSTRACT: We describe a patient who had a left hilar mass initially diagnosed as probable bronchogenic carcinoma. When a paradoxic arterial embolus led to further investigation, the hilar mass was found to be a poststenotic dilatation due to a severe pulmonary valve stenosis. Percutaneous balloon valvuloplasty of the pulmonary valve was successfully done, and the patient is well 2 years after the procedure. This content is limited to qualifying members.
