Abstract

To the Editor:

In a dermatology practice, the amount of daily documentation necessary to fulfill governmental, insurance, and institutional requirements has continued to increase. A physician’s signature is one aspect of this documentation. We recorded and analyzed the number of times a dermatology resident signed his name during 16 three-hour clinics at the Medical College of Georgia in January 2006.
