Prophylaxis Against Postsurgical Keloids: Results in 500 Patients

Abstract

The author is convinced that combining a corticosteroid with the local anesthetic will prevent, or at least diminish any tendency to keloid formation postoperatively. Further studies will be needed to establish that this technic has advantages to the local injection of a steroid alone after operation.
