Two Varieties of Hemolytic Anemia in Cirrhosis

Authors: LESLIE ZIEVE M.D., EARL HILL M.D.

Abstract

In this paper extending the observations made in the preliminary report, the authors contrast the clinical characteristics of hemolytic anemia accompanying hypersplenism and hyperlipidemia. On the basis of pathologic findings and the clinical course the prognosis of the former is much worse than of the latter.
