Authors: HARRY C. SHIRKEY M.D.

Abstract

Much attention has been given in recent years to the experimental use and evaluation of new drugs. These studies have been limited, perforce, almost entirely to adults. The author emphasizes that studies in adults fall short in providing answers for the infant and child population for a variety of reasons. He stresses the need for comparable researches in the young.
