Abstract

Untold hours in the dog laboratory and untold amounts of energy continue to be spent in the study of collateral circulation for the myocardium. Operations upon the human have come and gone in an attempt to provide an ancillary blood supply in coronary disease. It is of interest then to review an example of one of Nature's experiments.
