Abstract

We would like to thank Dr. Summers and Dr. Kaminski for their interest in our article.1 Their comments are well taken.

We did perform a MEDLINE/PUBMED search (1996 to December 2002), using the terms “testicle duplication” as well as “polyorchidism,” combined with “testicular agenesis,” “anorchism,” and “monorchism.” Unfortunately, the article by Porras-Ramirez et al did not show up when such a combination was used. It is important for authors to make sure that the title of the paper and the key words used fully reflect the content of their paper and the message that they would like to convey so that their work would not be overlooked.
