Activity Description
This webinar, presented by SMA Education Committee member Dr. Cary Cavender, will detail how healthcare professionals can be better equipped to diagnose, manage and treat EoE in both children and adults, including when to consider and how to perform surgical interventions.

Goals and Objectives
At the conclusion of the activity, learners will be able to:
- Clearly define and understand the pathophysiology of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) in both children and adults.
- Differentiate EoE from other esophageal disorders such as GERD, achalasia and infections esophagitis.
- Identify the indications for surgical intervention in EoE, such as severe strictures and refractory disease.
