Course Description

Dr. Pragna Patel provides a comprehensive presentation on COVID-19 including case studies as well as knowledge checks. The objective is to ensure providers and attendees are abreast of the latest COVID-19 epidemiology.

Faculty

Pragna Patel, MD, MPH

Dr. Pragna Patel is a physician and epidemiologist with over 25 years of experience in the practice of medicine and public health combined. She is currently the Chief Medical Officer of CDC’s Coronavirus and Other Respiratory Viruses Division and held many leadership positions on CDC’s COVID-19 response. Since joining the CDC in 2002, Dr. Patel has made numerous notable contributions to CDC’s mission, particularly in COVID-19 and HIV epidemic control. She has a board skill set with expertise in clinical care, public health programming, and research. She has co-authored over 120 manuscripts and book chapters. In addition, she is a Captain in the US Public Health Service (USPHS) and holds a faculty appointment as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine with Emory University, Department of Medicine.

To successfully earn credit, participants must complete the activity online during the valid credit period noted, following these steps:
