SMA Announces Call for Abstracts for Its 4th Annual Virtual Abstract Competition

SMA is now accepting abstracts for the 4th Annual Virtual Abstract Competition (VAC) being held the week of August 3, 2026.

This preliminary competition is open to medical students, residents, and fellows who will compete for a chance to present their projects during SMA’s Annual Scientific Assembly taking place in Houston, Texas November 6-7, 2026.

The top 16 oral presentations from this virtual/online only event will advance and present in person at the Assembly in Houston for the opportunity to win monetary awards.

The abstract submission deadline is Friday, June 12, 2026.

Please note that upon abstract acceptance, a $50 VAC registration fee is required for medical students and a $75 VAC registration fee is required for residents and fellows.
