Blastomycosis of Bone

Authors: FRANK H. BASSETT III, MD, JOHN P. TINDALL, MD

Abstract

Skeletal blastomycosis can be diagnosed early. Treatment with 2-hydroxy-stilbamidine and supportive local therapy has a good prognosis. Roentgen appearance of the lesion is not consistent. Fungus infection should be considered in any chronic draining sinus.
