Abstract

The article “Population-Based Analysis of Patient Age and Other Disparities in the Treatment of Ovarian Cancer in Central Appalachia and Kentucky”1 in this issue of the Southern Medical Journal describes the disparity in National Cancer Comprehensive Network (NCCN) guideline adherence in the economically depressed region of the United States known as central Appalachia.
