Abstract

I appreciate the sentiment and context of Dr Weibley’s encouragement of the Southern Medical Journal (SMJ) to reconsider accepting case report manuscripts in the future. As a resident physician, one of the earliest publications in my academic career was of a case report published in the SMJ, so I do have a personal connection to this concept.
