Abstract
Erratum
In the article “Atypical Antipsychotics, Elderly Patients, and Mortality Risk,” which appeared in volume 100 of the Southern Medical Journal on pages 964–965, a line of text was left out due to a production error. The last three sentences of the article should read “Thus, when faced with an otherwise unmanageable clinical situation, the newer agents appear safer in terms of all-cause mortality. It behooves the clinician to examine the patient carefully for comorbid conditions that may explain any alteration in mental status and behaviors. Doing nothing is usually not an option.”
