Abstract

Breast Pathology on the Web http://www.breastpathology.info/ is authored by Dr. Jeremy Thomas, Lead Consultant Pathologist, Edinburgh Breast Unit, United Kingdom, and is described as being “An easily accessible entry point to the understanding of the pathology of breast diseases” and is targeted at “trainees in breast pathology” and features “cross-specialty topics such as immunohistochemistry and specimen handling protocols.” It is richly illustrated with “mouse-over” features on many illustrations along with text that describes “Clinical basics” and “Histological diagnosis.” The section headings are: “Practice and Protocols,” “Investigations,” Benign/ Borderline,” “Malignant,” and “Case Material.” The illustrations are primarily microscope slides, with some x-rays and pathological specimens. There are also useful “What's new” and “Most visited” buttons and a “Case of the month” link.
