Open or Percutaneous Tracheostomy?

Abstract

The article by Sarani et al1 published in this issue of the Southern Medical Journal illustrates how important it is to understand the different steps of the percutaneous techniques, the different potential complications, and the pitfalls of this operation. This is an article that will be beneficial both for surgeons and critical care physicians.
