Abstract
The negative effects of menopause on the brain are often overlooked or downplayed. The chemical changes occurring in the brain can affect mental functioning (including memory and concentration) as well as psychological well-being (causing mood swings, nervousness, and depression). During menopause, the female body undergoes numerous chemical changes, and, while women can easily adapt to some of those changes through vitamins, exercise, and other treatments, the changes occurring in the brain require a personalized plan for recognizing the problem, then coping with it.This content is limited to qualifying members.
