Treatment of Acute Isoniazid Toxicity of Unknown Dose
Abstract
To the Editor:
Isoniazid is a bactericidal antituberculosis agent. 1 Overdose of isoniazid is characterized by seizures, metabolic acidosis, and coma. 2 Because it can result in death if untreated, early consideration of the possibility of isoniazid poisoning is important. We describe a patient treated with pyridoxine after an isoniazid overdose.
