Treatment of Perforating Wounds of the Colon and Rectum: A Re-evaluation
Abstract
The authors present their experience with primary suture or resection for injuries to the colon or rectum. The outcome with such management is highly successful and requires shorter hospitalization. The fatal cases in their series were in patients with injuries to other organs or structures over and above those of the large bowel.This content is limited to qualifying members.
