Personalizing Cancer Care Across the Globe to Eliminate the Threat of Cancer Mortality

November 8-11, 2026

The 6th Annual Maria Sklodowska Conference will bring together clinicians, researchers, industry, and academia to eliminate the global threat of cancer mortality developing personalized cancer care to specifically target cancer while reducing morbidity of therapies. This conference will be bringing together participants from US, Canada, Eastern and Western Europe to discuss cutting edge next generation cancer therapies.

Mission: Better Future for Oncology

The symposium aims to promote collaboration among scientists, clinicians, and representatives from the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors from the USA, Canada, and Central and Eastern European countries. The event seeks to accelerate the development and testing of new cancer therapies and improve care for oncology patients.

Brian Czerniecki, MD, PhD
Dr. Brian Czerniecki is Chair and Senior Member in the Moffitt Cancer Center Department of Breast Oncology. His research interests focus on dendritic cell biology and interactions with T cells. Dr. Czerniecki has developed dendritic cell therapies for the treatment of cancer and he is involved with several clinical trials for treating patients with early breast cancer with dendritic cell intratumoral therapy. Dr. Czerniecki’s research goal is the development of vaccines for the prevention of breast and other solid-tumor cancers.


Peter Forsyth, MD
Dr. Peter Forsyth is the Chair of the Department of Neuro-Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. He is an internationally recognized physician-scientist specializing in leptomeningeal disease. He leads Phase I and II clinical trials investigating novel tumor-targeted therapies, while his laboratory research focuses on the mechanisms of therapeutic resistance and the development of innovative treatment strategies, including dendritic cell-based immunotherapy. Dr. Forsyth earned his medical degree from McMaster University, completed his neurology residency at the Mayo Clinic, and pursued a fellowship in neuro-oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. His research is supported by funding from the U.S. Department of Defense, the National Institutes of Health, and the State of Florida.

Paweł Kaliński, MD, PhD
Professor Paweł Kaliński is a distinguished immunologist specializing in cancer therapy. He currently serves as the Director of the Vaccine and Dendritic Cell Therapy Program at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, USA. His research focuses on developing novel cancer immunotherapy strategies and therapeutic vaccines.

Iwona Ługowska, MD, PhD
Professor Iwona Ługowska is an experienced clinical oncologist. She serves as the Head of the Early Phase Clinical Trials Unit at the Maria Skłodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology in Warsaw. She specializes in conducting clinical trials and targeted therapies in cancer treatment.
