Assembly Faculty Spotlight: Audrey Dang, MD

The Southern Medical Association (SMA) is proud to feature Audrey Dang, MD, as a speaker for the Association's 117th Annual Scientific Assembly taking place November 13-15, 2025 in New Orleans.

A native of New Orleans, Dr. Dang earned her undergraduate degree from Tulane University, double-majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Asian Studies. She pursued Asian Studies coursework at the University of Singapore and earned her medical degree from Tulane School of Medicine. After completing her Internal Medicine internship at Ochsner Clinic Foundation, she went on to complete a Radiation Oncology residency at UCLA, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Dang treats a wide range of cancers, with particular interest in breast, CNS, genitourinary, and head and neck malignancies. Her research focuses on innovative radiation techniques, including de-escalation therapy for HPV-positive oropharyngeal cancer and SBRT for prostate cancer. She has presented her work widely and received the Radiosurgery Society’s research award in 2018. Dr. Dang returned to New Orleans to join Tulane University in 2019.
