The Southern Medical Association (SMA) is proud to feature Mohammed Afraz Pasha, MD, as a speaker for the Association's 117th Annual Scientific Assembly taking place November 13-15, 2025 in New Orleans.

Dr. Pasha is an internal medicine physician currently practicing hospital medicine at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital, a community hospital affiliated with East Carolina University Health in Eastern North Carolina. He brings a global perspective to his work, having trained and practiced medicine in India and the United Kingdom before continuing his medical journey in the United States. During his residency, he served as chief resident and remains committed to mentoring and supporting the development of future healthcare professionals. In addition to his clinical role, Dr. Pasha has been actively involved in medical student and resident committees, including with the Southern Medical Association. He is passionate about hospital medicine, compassionate patient care, and contributing to initiatives that strengthen the healthcare workforce.
