Assembly Faculty Spotlight: Neil M. Iyengar, MD
The Southern Medical Association (SMA) is proud to feature Neil M. Iyengar MD, as a speaker for the Association's 117th Annual Scientific Assembly taking place November 13-15, 2025 in New Orleans.
Dr. Iyengar is a board-certified medical oncologist specializing in breast cancer at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University’s Clifton campus. He is director of survivorship services at Winship, associate professor, and co-director of the Breast Medical Oncology Program at Emory University School of Medicine. In his leadership role, Dr. Iyengar oversees the integration of survivorship care, developing personalized wellness plans focused on nutrition, exercise, and support, while also guiding research initiatives. He earned his undergraduate and medical degrees through an accelerated program at the University of Illinois at Chicago, followed by residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center and a fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
