A Correlated Study of Carcinoma In Situ

Authors: BRUCE S. TERRILL M.D., HERMAN I. KANTOR M.D.

Abstract

Little is known of carcinoma in situ in terms of recurrence, or failure to have it removed in toto by conization, and whether it becomes invasive or might it have been invasive at the time of biopsy. Follow-up studies with and without hysterectomy will need to continue for years. The authors have made some observations on a short-term basis.
