Abstract

There has been much controversy over the “epileptic personality” in the past. More recently emphasis has been placed more upon the behavioral aspects of the child having seizures than upon the attacks themselves. With this has come the appreciation of emotional factors deriving from having seizures,— emotional factors related to being different, rejection by parents, classmates, difficulties in fitting into the environment, and the like. The interesting case material illustrates these many factors.
