Cancer of the Colon A Comparison of Survival Factors
Abstract
AbstractWhen 100 patients with cancer of the right colon were compared with 100 patients with cancer of the left colon, the latter had a higher incidence of obstruction, liver metastasis, and fatal local recurrence. Patients with cancer of the right colon had larger primary tumors and a longer symptomatic period before operation. While more patients with carcinoma of the right colon survived ten years, the difference was not significant statistically. This content is limited to qualifying members.
