Home Ventilator Dependence After High Cervical Cord Injury

Authors: DAVID J. GOWER MD, COURTLAND H. DAVIS JR. MD

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Home ventilator support, though somewhat unorthodox, is economically desirable and is now technically feasible. Close cooperation between public health providers, ventilator suppliers, and the family physician, as well as strong patient and family compliance, is essential for success in maintaining a ventilator-dependent patient at home.
