Abstract

The author has made a valuable contribution in calling attention to the serious nature of arterial blood loss in fractures of the pelvis and the need for immediate surgical intervention. He recommends ligation of the hypogastric artery if necessary, whose safety and efficacy has been established by gynecologists.
